Research Interests
After completing a PhD at the University of Glasgow on the impacts on host community composition on Lyme disease risk in Scotland in 2020, I joined the UK Health Security Agency as a medical entomologist. I’m most interested in understanding how host community composition and environmental factors can shape tick-borne disease risk in an ecosystem. I am currently involved in various ecological research studies aiming to better understand tick-borne diseases in the UK. I am also coordinating a project engaging several key National Parks and AONBs across England and Wales, to investigate spatiotemporal trends in tick density and pathogen prevalence.
